A flasher who has repeatedly struck at a Southampton park is still on the loose.

No arrests have been made following four reported incidents at the start of May.

The suspect – thought to be a man aged between 16 and 25 – is accused of exposing himself three times in Riverside Park on May 2.

It was also reported to police that a girl was subject to indecent exposure at Swaythling train station on the same day.

Officers from several divisions in the city have been pulled into the operation to catch the serial offender.

A new CCTV image of the suspect was released by the force last week

House-to-house enquiries, checking CCTV, and carrying out patrols in the area continue.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We have had people phoning us with information over the weekend.

“We would like to thank everyone who has provided information – we will be following up every report.”

Detective Sergeant Paul Buckland, who is leading the investigation told the Echo last week the increased police presence is to prevent the escalation of offending.

He said: “He does appear to have been targeting lone females who were walking through the park at the time.

“Who he approached and who reported these incidents to us is varying in ages and descriptions.

“The cause for concern is that there is a male who has chosen females because they are lone and vulnerable in the park.

“This type of offending needs to be dealt with seriously and robustly by the police.

“We need to make sure we do everything possible.”
