IT has been a memorable and successful season for local under-12s side AFC Stoneham Spitfires.

In just their first year of competitive football, they have beaten all before them to land a fantastic treble.

They are the Southampton Tyro Division One champions, the Tyro Challenge Cup winners, and the Hampshire Cup champions.

And if that is not enough, they are also undefeated in all three competitions, and with one league game remaining, an unbeaten treble is very much on the cards.

AFC Stoneham Spitfires beat Hamble Club Youth U12 Tornadoes via a penalty shoot-out in the final of the Tyro Challenge Cup last week to make it three trophies won this season.

They have scored an impressive 103 goals across their 22 matches in all competitions, while they have only conceded 19.

The Spitfires have played 21 matches overall, winning 20 and drawing just one and they end their campaign against Winchester City on Thursday, May 16.
