GEORGIA Adams and James Vince have been confirmed as Southern Brave captains for the 2024 Hundred season.

The duo have vast experience in lifting silverware having got their hands on The Hundred trophies in 2021 and 2023.

Adams, who also captains Southern Vipers, led her side to a historic double, as the team won both the 50-over Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and 20-over Charlotte Edwards Cup in 2023.

Vince, who is into his tenth season as Hampshire captain in 2024, led the club to a record tenth Vitality Blast Finals Day last summer having lifted the T20 trophy in 2022.

Adams admitted she is proud to be taking over from former Southern Brave captain Anya Shrubsole.

She said: “It’s a privilege to be taking over from Anya who was an amazing captain and someone the whole team looked up to.

"I’m super excited to get going and really looking forward to leading a fantastic group of players and trying to defend the trophy."

James Vince added: “The Hundred is so fast-paced you are always having to stay two steps ahead so it’s been a challenge but one I’ve really enjoyed.

"I love captaining this team and can’t wait to get going again in front of our home fans on July 24.”

Southern Brave kick off their campaigns at Utilita Bowl on Wednesday, July 24 against London Spirit, with tickets now available.

Southern Brave men lost in the Eliminator in 2023, while the women's side beat Northern Superchargers in the final.
