No police action after motorway bridge plunge
12:45pm Friday 4th October 2013 in News
POLICE will take no action after investigating a woman’s fall from a motorway bridge.
As reported, drivers were stuck in more than ten miles of tailbacks after police closed all three lanes on a section of the M27 on Wednesday afternoon.
It came after 999 operators received a flurry of calls reporting that a woman had fallen on to the eastbound carriageway between junctions eight at Hamble and nine at Whiteley and Park Gate.
And last night they revealed that they would take no action after finding that no criminal offence had been identified.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious but nonlife- threatening injuries following the drama at 3.50pm.
