SHE has played in front of royalty in a star studded career which has taken her around the globe.

Soul superstar Mica Paris, one of the UK’s finest and most respected singers with a string of Top Ten hit singles and albums, makes her debut at Eastleigh’s Concorde Club tonight.

Her roots are in soul and gospel music but she is equally at home with R&B and jazz.

She grew up singing in her grandparents’ church and by her mid-teens was making regular appearances with The Spirit of Watts gospel choir The range, power and sheer soulfulness of Mica’s singing made an immediate impact on the UK music scene in 1988 when she released her debut platinum selling album So Good.

It paved the way for her first top ten hit My One Temptation. More worldwide hit albums and singles followed including Black Angel, Stay and Carefree.

She was honoured as an Icon at Windsor Castle by the Duke of Edinburgh and sang at his 90th birthday celebrations.

Mica has shared the stage with a galaxy of stars including Dionne Warwick and Michael Bolton.
