A family had to be rescued by lifeboat crews when their yacht became stranded in the Solent.
A couple, their two young children and a dog got stuck on the Beaulieu River entrance of Lepe Spit at 1pm on Saturday.
A rope became entangled around the propeller of their 35ft yacht Islana and they were unable to retrieve their anchor.
The Cowes RNLI lifeboat crew cut the anchor free before towing them back to Shepards Wharf, Cowes.
Then then braved choppy conditions to recover the anchor from the river bed to prevent it causing a hazard to any other vessels and restored it to the yacht.
