TWO hundred people queued to get their hands on tickets for the hottest show in town.
Tickets for The Lion King at Southampton's Mayflower Theatre went on general sale this morning.
Theatre-lovers started queuing outside the theatre at 4.30am, with the box office opening at 8am.
The acclaimed Disney production - which has played in 15 countries and five continents across the world - will run at the theatre from July 11 to September 6.
Some of the 200 people who queued this morning could not hide their delight at getting their hands on the tickets.
One, Michael Phillips from Totton, said: “It's a brilliant show, it's going to be a magical experience.”
And another, Ray Sanders from Redbridge, said: “We've seen the DVDs of the performances, and now we're going to see it for real. It's very exciting.”
