More than 60 pupils from four Southampton schools built rockets that were blasted off into the atmosphere as part of a ‘starchaser rocket’ event at Brookfield School in Sarisbury.

The event was part of a collaboration of Southampton University with the Ogden Trust, which aims to get more school-aged children into physics.

The four schools that took part in creating rockets were Brookfield Community School, Cantell School, St Anne’s Catholic School and King Edward VI School.
