A SOUTHAMPTON school is appealing for volunteers.
Harefield Primary School, is encouraging parents to help in a variety of ways, from accompanying school trips to reading with pupils.
A school spokesman said: “We are always grateful for your help. An hour of reading a week makes all the difference.”
Anyone interested should visit the school office in Yeovil Chase, Bitterne, although a background check is required.
