A NEW Forest man was arrested following a disturbance in Stockbridge.

Police were called to the High Street on Thursday afternoon last week following reports of a dispute outside a property on the A30 which runs through the town.

A 56-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, both from Stockbridge, suffered minor injuries.

Officers arrested a 44-year-old Marchwood man on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed until March while the police continue their inquiries into the incident, which happened at about 4.10pm.
