Daily Echo: Traffic delays after van and car collide Traffic delays after van and car collide

MOTORISTS are facing delays this morning after an accident on a busy Hampshire road.

A van and car collided on the A326 Marchwood Bypass near Marchwood, at around 7.45am, closing one lane.

The accident took place near the junction with Twiggs Lane.

Traffic is moving slowly with vehicles delayed by around 15 minutes.

Upgrading the A326 to a dual carriageway would just allow you to reach the next bottleneck a few minutes earlier. It's busy during the rush hour and slow moving because of cars driving at 30 in the 40 zones. If there were two lanes, you would be held up by an empty tanker overtaking a full one or by the Wannabee Formula 1 van drivers. Set off a few minutes earlier and enjoy the drive.
