The New Forest’s world renowned landscapes and wildlife will be celebrated this summer as sculptors, painters and photographers compete in a local art competition.
The New Forest Open Art competition is back after a successful 2013 inauguration.
Budding artists who take inspiration from the National Park are being invited to enter the contest, which is run by the New Forest National Park Authority in partnership with the New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst.
Submissions should be made on July 11 and 12 ahead of the exhibition from July 26 to August 30. The winner will receive £500 with £300 for second place and £100 for third. There is also a People’s Prize of £100 with a feature in the sponsor’s Park Culture magazine. Application forms from newforestcentre.org.uk or 023 8028 3444.
