THOUSANDS of pounds worth of items have been stolen by thieves during an overnight raid at a Hampshire garden centre.
Hilliers Garden Centre, near Romsey, was targeted overnight on Monday by burglars who fled with a haul of goods, including six cast aluminium garden chairs.
Police are urging anyone who is offered the distinctive Bellagio chairs for sale to call them immediately, as they are only sold by a limited number of outlets.
Also stolen was a pressure washer, a JCB cordless drill, a tool box containing Stanley knives and screwdrivers, plus two Cobra walkie-talkies and a Barbour style green wide-brimmed hat.
Anyone with information about the theft at the Jermyns Lane centre, which happened between 6pm on May 5 and 7am on May 6, should contact PC Lindsay Miell on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
