RETIRED market worker Ray Lendon is looking forward to packing his bags after winning this week’s Find the Ball nearest miss prize.
The 79-year-old was delighted to receive the call that he had scooped £2,100 on the popular competition.
Mr Lendon said he would put the money towards paying for a cruise for himself and his wife Patricia.
The grandfather-of-seven from Southampton, who used to work in the city’s fruit market, said: “What a great piece of news that is to get. My wife won’t believe it.”
It wasn’t the first time he has won a cash prize after scooping more than £1,000 seven years ago.
Don’t miss your copy of tomorrow’s Daily Echo, as the jackpot stands at £29,000.
