A HAMPSHIRE college has teamed up with a south coast company to provide a training course unique in the south east.
Eastleigh College, in Chestnut Avenue, is using DCI Refrigeration’s state-of-the-art carbon dioxide (CO2) test plant and training facility for its industry training courses for the greener refrigerant.
This makes it the only provider in the south east to offer CO2 courses in training for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
Two CO2 courses will use DCI’s Portsmouth base, which is only the second facility of its kind in the UK, and they are available to existing or potential workers in the industry.
The first is a two-day course in the use and safe handling of carbon dioxide developed with the British Refrigeration Association and The Carbon Trust.
The second course is the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide.
