Three men are due in court today following a major police operation on a Southampton estate.

It comes after officers carried out a search of woodland near Thornhill estate over weekend.

Seven people, four men and three women, were initially arrested as part of the operation.

Policet last night said a search for drugs evidence at Dumbleton Copse on Netley Common in Thornhill, Southampton has now finished.

Following the operation detectives from Hampshire Constabulary's Operation Fortress team charged three men with a conspiracy to supply drugs.

Darren James McCash, 31, of Bryher Island, Port Solent, Portsmouth, Ben McCash, 20, of Kilford Court, Botley, Southampton and Bradley Michael McCash, 22, also of Kilford Court, Botley.

All three men are accused of conspiracy to supply cocaine - and are also facing separate charges for conspiracy to supply heroin.

Darren McCash is also charged with money laundering.

All three men spent last night in police custody before they are due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today.

Four other suspects arrested as part of this investigation have been granted police bail until September 1 pending further enquiries.

They are two 50-year-old women from Southampton, 22-year-old woman from Portsmouth and a 17-year-old boy from Southampton.
