Attack leaves victim in hospital with face and chest injuries
A MAN is in hospital after an assault in Southampton that left him suffering from serious injuries to his face and chest.
The 40-year-old was outside a block of flats at Mead Court, in Coxford Drive, when he was attacked by a white man, aged in his 30's.
The victim sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in Southampton General Hospital, where his condition this evening is described as “improving”.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between 10.30pm and midnight on Thursday, to contact PSI Marta Drozd at Shirley police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
