WINCHESTER University has taken part in a campaign aimed at helping young carers in higher education.
The university held a series of workshops in a bid to promote Carers’ Week, run by the Carers Trust.
Dr Terri Sandison, the uni’s director of lifelong learning and staff development, said: “There are thousands of young people caring for family members and this can be a challenge for them when it comes to education. Our aim is to support young carers into, and through, their higher education with us at the university.”
