A SOUTHAMPTON store raised thousands of pounds to help buy new bikes for a Southampton school.
Fundraisers from Marks & Spencer in WestQuay raised £3,579.86 to buy eight new bikes for Springwell School in Thornhill.
Throughout the year staff have held a variety of fundraising events, including a cake sale, a car boot sale and tabletop sales.
Eunice Wateley, chairman of business involvement at Marks & Spencer, WestQuay, said: “We are delighted with how much we have raised. We were hoping to get £3,000, but it went above that.
“We feel like it was worth the effort and we know the bikes will make a huge difference to children at the school.”
