A MAN was assaulted while walking with his daughter in a Hampshire street.
The 45-year-old victim was walking along Derby Road, Eastleigh, when as they passed by the Premier store another man approached them.
He verbally abused the man and jabbed him in the neck with his fingers.
Police want to speak to a woman they believe was walking behind the man and daughter and saw what happened.
The witness is described as black, middle-aged and wearing a flowery dress.
The attacker is described as black, in his 30s, 5ft 8in, of stocky build, with short dark hair and wearing a rust coloured T-shirt with a motif on the front and blue jeans.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call PC Ella Knight at Eastleigh on 101 or leave information anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
