Pet tortoises go missing after car roof mishap

PET tortoises are missing after their owner put the box they were enclosed in on a car roof – and then drove off.

An urgent appeal has been launched to find the small reptiles, which went missing on Friday.

They were in a box and left on a car roof by their owner before they drove off from Archers Road, Southampton at around 7pm.

The owner realised when they got home and immediately drove back in a desperate attempt to find them.

But they were only able to find an empty box where the tortoises were kept.

Leaflets have been put up in the area in a desperate attempt to find them and a cash reward is available.

If you know where they are, call 07845 482218.
