A HAMPSHIRE cricket team has received a financial boost.
Fareham Borough Council has awarded £2,000 to Burridge Cricket Club to purchase a bowling machine and equipment.
The club, based at Burridge Recreational Ground, in Burridge, near Swanwick, coaches more than 100 local children.
The money, awarded through community funding, is designed to allow the club to coach even more children and improve their league performance.
Any resident or organisation based in the Fareham area can apply to the Community Fund for money for one-off purchases from the council.
