A CAR crashed into the front of a petrol station in Fareham.

The blue Volvo V70 went into the glass window of the Esso On the Run, in Gosport Road, Fareham.

Police said that it may have been involved in a minor collision with a silver Peugeot 306 beforehand.

Pumps at the petrol station were turned off and the petrol station was briefly closed.

Firefighters helped to get the vehicle out and ensure that the building was structurally sound.

The driver was treated for minor injuries, but no one else was hurt in the incident at 4.30pm on Sunday, though staff and customers were inside the store at the time.
