AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a person was hit by a train last night.

The victim was hit at New Milton but no details on them or their injuries has been released yet.

Services were suspended between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst as a result for several hours.

Replacement buses were running with services not back to normal until around 10pm.

Police were called to the station.

Passengers leaving Bournemouth were being taken in taxis and coaches, South West Trains said.

Why is it useless? If the police/ train companies aren't releasing certain details the. The DE can't report it. If you actually read the article properly it's clearly an advisory article about delays and diversions and jives plenty of details for the purpose of the article.
Too many people think it's their 'right' to be told everything and want all gory details. Get a life

Had it not crossed your mind that this 'useless report' was made to explain to people why they were delayed?

You would be better off making suggestions as to why people don't choose to end it all by jumping in front of a train and why it is that we need more Samaritans and decent people in the world who care about others.

Failing that I suggest you shut up.

Settle petal!
I am free to express my opinion, and your ill written comment makes little sense.

The only fact here is someone is dead. Caused by being hit by a train but this makes another fact doesn't it, because people don't just get hit by trains. Someone was either pushed from somewhere, they fell from somewhere or they jumped from somewhere.

Either way, this person was somewhere they really shouldn't have been if 2/3 possibilities had them being killed. The 3rd possibility is suicide - which is way to common for people to not assume it's what happened.

Statistics create opinions. Like it or not, If something is more likely, people will think that it happened rather than imagine alternatives.

Indeed good point well made, most people who were travelling were probably informed at the time, during my time working, I personally dealt with many of these incidences, some fatal some not, so I rather got hardened with the problem. My real interest was in the circumstances and the outcome and how my colleagues dealt with the situation, and also was interested in the fate of the victim, just out of curiosity, hoping it was not a fatal incident, the report did not make that clear did it, or have I missed something?

He possibly is right, but sometimes people need to think before they post. If it was Huey's family member who was hit, I would imagine he would want kind words from people, not some thoughtless person posting unhelpful comments. Then again, perhaps he has no feelings, so would not really care.
