CLASSIC cars are heading to Hampshire this weekend for a big show and among them will be enthusiasts from the Test Valley and New Forest areas.

The Standard Motor Club of Great Britain New Forest branch is staging a rally on Saturday starting at 11.30am from the Mill Arms at Dunbridge, near Romsey, to Holmsley Tea Rooms, near Burley in the New Forest, and back again to the Test Valley-based pub, opposite Mottisfont and Dunbridge Station. The route will include Awbridge, Shootash, Wellow, Nomansland and other New Forest villages.

And on Sunday they will be doing it all again but this time they will be heading for the Hampshire Classic Car Show at Breamore near Fordingbridge. They will leave the Mill Arms at 11am and then head for Nomansland and Downton and on to Breamore.

The events are all part of the South of England gathering 2014 run by the New Forest Group of the Standard Motor Club.

Other groups taking part in the show include the Three Counties Vintage and Classic Car Club, the South Hants Vehicle Preservation Society, Dorset Car Club, the Austin A30/A35 Club, Test Valley Motor Enthusiasts, the Triumph Sports Six Club and the Triumph Dolomite Owners’ Club.
