BUSINESSES and residents in Hampshire are being faced with power cuts after gale-force winds battered the county.
Southern Electric revealed that some properties in Netley Common are without power while firms in the city centre of Southampton are experiencing problems.
Bluestar buses says its Bargate Street shop is unable to sell tickets while an employee at the Above Bar Street Coop bank reported a power cut at the premises.
Residents in Hedge End also say they have been without power since 9.30am.
Southern Electric has not yet confirmed how many properties are affected but said engineers are en route to affected areas.
