THE National Motor Museum, Beaulieu will be showcasing motorcycling footage from its film collection using a projection dome.
This free, one-off event today is being run to support the museum’s poll to find the nation’s top 20 Motorcycling Icons. A wall featuring the top 20 will take centre stage in a new display, The Motorcycle Story, at the National Motor Museum. Motorcycling Icons is an official poll site where you can choose your three favourite icons from the shortlist of riders past and present and have your say in identifying the most influential motorcyclists of all time. The poll will be open until midnight on April 22 with everyone taking part entered into a draw to win fantastic prizes including a three-day family ticket to this year’s British MotoGP.
The top 20 icons, as voted by you, will be announced at the official opening of the new Motorcycle Story display in May. The projection dome will be running from 5.45pm to midnight at Guildhall Square, where you can also meet members of the Motorcycling Icons team and cast your vote for your favourite icon.
