HAMPSHIRE residents are being warned against fraudsters who are phoning people claiming to be police or bank representatives who have spotted suspect activity on their bank accounts. The conmen are then explaining that the bank will need to collect the card, or require them to withdraw large sums of money from their account, according to Hampshire Trading Standards. The victim is then advised to place their card, or withdrawn cash, into an envelope which is then picked up by a courier or taxi driver.
