FIRE crews used breathing apparatus as they tackled a kitchen blaze in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from St Marys and Redbridge were called to Blyth Close in Southampton amid reports a fire had broken out on a cooker hob.
The team of ten used hosereels, breathings apparatus and positive pressure ventilation as they spent 20 minutes clearing smoke from the kitchen of the home.
The incident unfolded just after midnight this morning.
