Cycling star Dani King took time out from training to help inspire school children at Royal Victoria Country Park.

The London 2012 gold medallist and former Hamble College student encouraged Year 10 and 7 pupils from her old school as well as Toynbee School and Thornden School in Chandler's Ford.

An ambassador for Hampshire County Council, she said: “It’s great to be back and to see so many kids on their bikes.

“Hopefully I can inspire them to be Hampshire’s future Olympians and benefit from the fantastic support I received through the Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme.”
