POLICE are hunting an attacker who left a man injured in an alleyway in Southampton.
The man was discovered in the alleyway just off St Mary Street, next to The Joiners pub in the city, just before 2pm yesterday.
Police were unable to reveal the exact extent of the victim’s injuries, but they were not thought to be serious.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital by South Central Ambulance Service for treatment.
Detectives investigating the assault have not yet revealed if any weapons were used during the attack but they believe that the man responsible is known to the victim.
They are now trying to trace the attacker and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
