AN inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a teenager.

As previously reported in the Daily Echo, the body of Brittany Missen was found at her home in Bursledon.

The inquest was adjourned until Monday, August 4, to be held in Winchester.

Tributes have continued to pour in for the 19-year-old, who was found dead at her Portsmouth Road house in the early hours of Thursday.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Brittany was a popular face at B&Q in Hedge End where she worked.

The teenager studied at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College for four months before leaving in 2011.

Principal Jonathan Prest said: “This is extremely sad news. Our thoughts are very much with Brittany’s family, her friends and all those who knew her during her short time at Barton Peveril.”

Tributes were also left on social media. Jewell Marcia wrote: “You were a beautiful young lady with her whole life ahead of you. My heart goes out to you and your family.”
