YOUNGSTERS helped make a splash as they took to the pool to perfect their stroke.
Olympic swimmer Adam Whitehead was on hand to give his top tips as the young swimmers took advantage of the British Gas Pools 4 Schools programme.
So far more than 31,000 children have been taught to swim thanks to the initiative, which was launched in 2009, and now the firm has brought it to Fareham Leisure Centre’s temporary pool.
The scheme was initially set up to bring temporary swimming pools to schools in areas of aquatic deprivation but it has branched out to help keep swimming afloat in Fareham during the temporary pool closure.
