PEOPLE interested in joining the Army were given a taste of life as a soldier.
Sir John Moore Barracks in Harestock, near Winchester, held an event for people in the process of joining the Army Reserve Forces, or contemplating it.
The 50 participants were put through their paces with obstacle courses, target practice tasks and demonstrations with machine guns and smoke grenades at the Exercise Roebuck Insight event.
Another event for 18 to 42-year-olds interested in becoming a reservist will be held on September 20.
