FAST becoming one of the south coast’s leading fashion events, The Enliven Project is back – and it promises to be a fashionista’s paradise.

Now in its fourth year, the Enliven Fashion Project helps develop talent while revitalising the high street by pairing emerging designers from across Hampshire with Eastleigh charity shops to spruce up their stock with a touch of upcycling magic.

The designers are given free rein in the charity shops to rummage through the cast-offs before selecting items to take away which are then upcycled into imaginative and colourful fashion clothing, items and accessories.

The fashion-forward event, supported by Wayne Hemmingway MBE, founder of Red or Dead Designs, and award-winning fashion designer Mia Nisbet, includes a fashion trail where the designs are showcased in the charity stores, and a glamorous catwalk event featuring all the innovative designs.

This year’s main Enliven Fashion Show & Designer-Maker Fair takes place tomorrow from 11am to 4pm.

The free event includes catwalk displays, a designer-maker fair with more than 30 stalls, free craft workshops.
