YOUNGSTERS used the power of song to raise cash for a charity close to their hearts.
Children from Glenfield Infant School in Southampton handed over a cheque for more than £1,000 to Diabetes UK after one of the pupils was diagnosed with the condition.
The money was raised by pupils taking part in a singing relay concert.
Vicki Lamprey and daughter Brooke, 7, handed over a cheque to the charity’s Lewis Honeywill at a special assembly.
