POLICE are investigating an unprovoked attack on two teenage boys at a Hampshire village recreation ground.

Officers say three men on mountain bikes were involved in the alleged assault at Nursling Recreation Ground, off Joe Bigwood Close.

The two 15year-olds from the Southampton area were out with two friends when the incident happened between 9pm and 9.30pm on Thursday, June 24.

One of the victims suffered a cut to his face and is believed to have been punched. The other received minor bruising and scratches to the back of his head.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Lindsay Miell at Romsey police station on 101.
