A CHANDLER’S Ford pensioner has been told that he faces a potential prison sentence for downloading sordid pictures of children and abusing a girl.

Roger Holmes, 66, of Falkland Road, admitted 31 charges involving making and possessing about 150 images.

He also pleaded guilty at Southampton Crown Court to sexually assaulting a girl in a shop by squeezing her bottom.

Extending his bail pending sentence on August 18, Judge Peter Henry told him: “These are serious matters and all options must be considered.”
