VOLUNTEERS rolled up their sleeves to overhaul the garden of a young Southampton girl.
The family of ten-year-old Cariad Howat, who has spinal muscular atrophy (type 1), were delighted when volunteers from the Well Child organisation transformed their garden in Thornhill Park Road.
The charity looks to provide support to ill children, and their families, helping them live life as fully as possible in their own homes.
Isobel McFarlane, from Well Child, said: “We came in and transformed their garden to make it somewhere easy for the family to maintain.
“It went incredibly well and we even finished early. The family were delighted.”
The charity is looking for companies and volunteers to help children across the county.
