A MAN has been plucked to safety from the Solent during the early hours of this morning.
Lifeboat crews received an emergency call around 5am reporting a man in difficulty in the water off Cowes seafront.
The man, in his 20s, was found by the lifeboat off The Green and brought aboard by the crew. He was taken to Trinity Landing where he was transferred by ambulance to convey him to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
