TWO cats and three lizards were rescued from a house fire this evening.

Fifteen fighters from Hardley, Hythe and Beaulieu were attending to a blaze in the lounge of a terraced house in Cygnus Gardens, Dibden after being called out at 8.27pm.

Two sets of breathing apparatus, one hosereel and positive pressure ventilation fan were used. The fire was out by 9.10pm.

The residents were not hurt, Hampshire Fire and Rescue said.
