A WOMAN suffered “life-threatening” injuries after being hit by a car in Hampshire.

She was struck by a Ford Fiesta in Bursledon at about 4.30am today.

It happened on the A27 between the Windhover and Kanes Hill roundabouts, at the road’s junction with Peewit Hill.

Police say the woman was taken to Southampton General Hospital with “life-threatening injuries”.

The driver of the Fiesta was not arrested.

The road was closed for about four hours while police investigated the scene.
