BURGLARS have taken jewellery from a house while the owners were on holiday.

They got in by forcing a window on the ground floor of a property in Queens Road, Hiltingbury, then searched all the rooms and took jewellery, two Dell notebooks and a laptop.

The owners, who had been away for more than three weeks, came home on Thursday to find damage to the door frame of the secure front door and items missing.

It is believed the burglary may have taken place between August 8 and August 15.

Any witnesses, anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or has been offered the stolen items, can call Eastleigh Police on 101.
