STAFF from a Hampshire firm pitted their golfing skills against a professional who has mixed with the likes of Tiger Woods.

OneCom, which has its headquarters in Whiteley, held a team-bonding day hosted by golfer Robert Rock, who is a regular on the European Tour and beat Tiger Woods to the title at the 2012 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.

He played in the OneCom nine-hole challenge before presenting prizes to the winners.

The annual event, held at Remedy Oak golf course, near Bournemouth, is organised by OneCom management.

Robert gave a skills demonstration to the participants before offering advice in a golfing clinic. He then joined them in the nine-hole round – ending two under par despite never having been to the course before.

In first place was senior business development manager Jamie Bryant and second was Sam Waltham, who works in customer service, and third went to Mark Doree in accounts.

Robert Rock is sponsored by OneCom, which supplies him with mobile phone and communications support.

OneCom is the UK’s largest independent business-tobusiness provider of mobile voice and data, fixed line, IT and unified communications solutions.
