POLICE have named the passenger who died in a fatal crash on one of Hampshire's busiest motorways as 26-year-old Miriama Bartova from Southampton.
This comes as officers investigating the crash launch a fresh appeal for witnesses to the incident on the M3 on Monday.
As reported by the Daily Echo, the crash involved a grey Fiat Stilo colliding into the back of the back of a lorry on the southbound carriageway between junctions 9 and 10 on Monday at about 7.40am.
The car then left the road and ended up on its roof.
Miriama was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family in Slovakia have been informed.
The driver of the Fiat, a 24 year-old man, and a passenger, a 36 year-old woman, who are both from Southampton, were taken to hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made, but the circumstances of the collision are being investigated.
Anyone who saw what happened is urged to contact Sergeant Lyndon Barrett from the Eastleigh Road Death Investigation Team on 101 quoting Operation Siddeley.
