Saints forward Jonathan Forte has joined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old started his career at Brammall Lane and will look to assist the League One side with their promotion push.

Forte joined Saints from Scunthorpe in January 2011, but has not played for the club in over a year.

He was previously on loan at Crawley Town earlier this season.

Thank god for that, I live a couple of miles from crawleys ground so have seen a couple of games and he was awful then!

Not one of Nigels greatest signings, came in when we needed steel in League 1 and was soon out of his depth.
