SAINTS captain Jose Fonte says it means the world to be named the club's player of the season - by both his teammates and the fans.
The centre-half scooped the two top prizes at the annual awards dinner, as his incredible campaign was deservedly honoured.
"Obviously, the first one, being nominated by your own teammates, it means the world, because we go through a lot," said the 31-year-old.
"To be recognised in that way, as the players’ player of the season, it’s a very high praise and I’m grateful that they chose me, and I just hope I can repay that with being better and better and help them do it the best way I can."
In response to winning the fans' vote, Fonte said: "Since I came here, I felt like I have found my place.
"They have made me feel special and they have made me feel like I have found my home.
"So, for them, a big thank you because they have always supported me and they've always helped me, even through the rough moments, that weren’t many to be honest. It has been a very good relationship and I hope we can continue like this for many years."
