'BRING ON Jose', says Southampton right back Cedric Soares, as his side gear up for their clash with Chelsea this weekend.

The Portuguese right-back, who arrived at St Mary’s from Sporting CP in June, will be making the most of the opportunity if manager Ronald Koeman selects him for the showdown against Mourinho’s outfit, who have had an indifferent start to their title defence.

“Everybody knows that the qualities (he has), he’s (Mourinho) an amazing coach,” Soares said. “So it will be a pleasure for me to play against him.

“It will be for sure a great game.

“For sure, if I play, I will enjoy the game and do the best for my team.”

The 24-year-old, who believes Saints showed how well they’re progressing in the 3-1 win over Swansea last weekend, believes the Blues match is another significant one for Koeman’s team.

"It’s a big game and every player wants to play those big games, because it’s about football," he said.

"Big stadiums, big environment – you want to play that high level and Chelsea is one of the best team that’s why everybody wants to play.

"We will do our best to win."
