For the past twenty-five years, Phil was Proprietor of Lockerley Motors, where he was well known for his ability to involve himself with the local community.
The Primary school and many of the elderly folk (and their animals) all benefited from his kindness.
Phil ran the London Marathon three times, in 2003 / 04 /05 and was a familiar sight as he trained along the lanes of Lockerley,

He held the position of President at the Nursling and Rownhams Social Club for nine years and more recently was a Trustee. He also sponsored Nursling Football Club for many years and managed and played for them, until he was too old for even the Veteran team !
