It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Stephen Brian McCarthy, 54, of Southampton. He died suddenly at home with his family in his Mothers and Sisters arms on the evening of the 30th of June 2017 He was a lovely man with a beautiful pure heart. He was a remarkable athlete, a true modern day legend. Loving, kind and generous to a fault. Those that knew him loved him and they will be left with a huge void that can never be filled. Services will be held at 1.00pm on the 26th of July 2017 at the Chapel, Hollybrook cemetery, Tremona Road, Shirley, Southampton SO16 6HW Stephen was a very popular man and will be greatly missed, therefore friends and well wishers are invited to attend the ceremony at 1.00pm and also the wake at 2.15pm which will be held at: The Juniper Berry Public House, Castle Square, Upper Bugle Street, Southampton, SO14 2EE - Phone 023 8033 3364 Please note that Stephen preferred not to wear black and therefore we would like all attendees to respect that and do the same.
